Turning broken futures into amended destinies

We pay children’s school fees. We feed the foodless and clothe the naked. We protect the weak and fight the battles of the helpless. We mother the motherless — not for a day, but for as long as it takes.

Every bag of rice, every crate of drinks and every school fee we pay is funded by real commercial activity — the founder’s own foodstuffs and bulk supply business — and given with a pure heart.

Who we are

A Nigerian foundation built on love, peace, giving and growing together.

Ogochukwu Helping Hands Foundation is rooted in real communities across Nigeria — from Lagos market streets to villages with no clinic and no clean water — and held to international standards of transparency and integrity. We are registered, we are active, and we are present in homes, not only in photographs.

School Fees & Education

No child should lose their future over an unpaid receipt.

We pay school fees, buy uniforms, books and sandals, and walk children back through the gate they were sent home from. Education is the one gift that cannot be taken back.

Feeding the Foodless

If there is food in our house, nobody around us sleeps hungry.

Bags of rice, garri, beans, oil, tomatoes and crates of drinks move from our stores into homes, streets and communities — quietly, with dignity, and without anybody being made to beg.

Clothing & Dignity

Dignity is not a luxury item.

Clothes, wrappers, shoes and essentials for children, mothers and elders — given clean, given new where we can, and given in a way that lets a person keep their head up.

Protecting the Weak

We fight the battles of those who cannot fight alone.

When the vulnerable are intimidated, cheated or abandoned, we stand beside them — with presence, with advocacy, and with the stubbornness of a mother who will not leave.

Mothering the Motherless

Every child deserves somewhere that feels like home.

Consistent care, school runs, birthdays remembered, a door that is always open. Not a one-off visit — a relationship that lasts through the years.

Clean Water

A community should not have to walk for water.

Boreholes and hand pumps sunk where families had no safe water of their own. It is the one gift that keeps serving a whole village every single day, long after we have driven away.

The record so far

Numbers that belong to real people

Behind each figure is a name, a household and a date. We keep records because the families we serve deserve to be counted properly.

0+
Lives touched

Children, mothers and elders reached since the doors first opened.

0+
School fees paid

Terms settled so a child could walk back through the school gate.

0+
Meals provided

Bags of rice, food parcels and hot meals into real kitchens.

0+
Families empowered

Households given the tools and stock to stand on their own.

We are accountable for every naira and every bag. Our registration, trustees and certificate are published in full — not because we were asked, but because trust is the only currency that matters in this work.

The heart behind it

One woman with consistent love can rewrite destinies

From a young age, Vivien Okafor carried a heart that could never look away from suffering. Even when her own path was not easy, she made sure that everyone around her ate. She could not stand to see the weak intimidated, or a child go to bed hungry.

What began as the quiet helping hands of a young girl grew into a family miracle that has touched hundreds of lives. Today she stands as a mother to the motherless and a shield for the helpless — living proof that love, repeated daily, becomes an institution.

I could never look away. If there is food in my house, nobody around me sleeps hungry. That is not charity — that is simply how a family behaves.

Moments of love

The days that made all of this worth it

Distribution mornings, school gates, kitchens, market stalls and family compounds. This is what the work actually looks like.

See it for yourself

The work, filmed as it happens

We film our outreaches because a photograph can be staged and a receipt can be printed — but a whole community on camera, receiving what was promised, is harder to argue with.

You are welcome here

Come and be part of somebody's rescue

You do not need to be wealthy to change a life. A term of school fees, a bag of rice, an hour of your time — it all lands in a real home, with a real name attached to it.
